This year:
- biked 3811 miles
- I lost 14 pounds
- I started learning how to do bike maintenance myself
- I climbed Old La Honda for the first time
- I shaved 20 minutes off of my Old La Honda time since my first climb
- I biked to the Pacific and back
- I went clipless without doing the horizontal track stand
- I reached the point where mountains aren't impossible to climb anymore
- 80 mile rides went from nearly impossible to comfortable
- I discovered muscular definition on my legs
- I stopped looking foolish in a spandex cycling jersey. So I purchased one
- Everybody noticed that I was a lot trimmer
- I commuted to work just about every day on the bike, rain or shine. I think I missed a few days here and there

I had wanted to:
- Ride 100 miles rides comfortably (I only found time for 80 miler rides)
- Do 3000 ft climbs comfortably (I can)
- Do something cool like an organized century (less than I thought, just one ride through the desert)
- Continue to commute solely via bike and reduce my time inside all fossil-fuel-burning-vehicles further (I did)
This year, I want to:
- Complete at least part of a brevet series
- Do a century a month
- Shave some more time off my Old La Honda time
- Do the ride over the mountains to the pacific, except faster and farther and without scaring the crap out of my wife
- Continue to commute solely via bike and reduce my time inside all fossil-fuel-burning-vehicles further
