JoyPlug was a combination lowpass resonant filter and a distortion plugin for Buzz that is controlled by your computer’s joystick in real time. It was my mini-project for SigMusic at the Engineering Open House.
I learned more than I thought I would. I learned the difference between DirectInput and the Windows Multimedia Joystick API (I ended up using the latter, the former is unsuited for my tasks). I was planning on using the built-in signal processing algorythims in Buzz, but they don’t seem to work, so I wrote my very own resonant filtering code instead, after a little research on the ‘net.
