Disruptive technology: Digital Cameras
As a geek and engineer, I love disruptive technologies. Disruptive technologies are what makes being an engineer worthwhile, at least for me, because they are the ones that change society forever. That, and often the repercussions are quite interesting. Nobody thinks of the wild and crazy things that will happen because of technology until much later.
Lately, I realized just how interesting of a disruptive technology digital cameras were.

When I last wrote about my work laptop, I mentioned the failed Thinkpad T41, which was then fixed and placed into service. But I'd still leave it at work half the time because I didn't want to deal with the stupid IBM Presentation Director.

I hate my Thinkpad T30
Big Blue strikes again, and after all of the wonderful things they did for us all (IBM PC, Bankrolling Linux, Employing my godmother for many years) it pains me to gripe about it.
