More tweaks to the commuter attire

I think I caused the warm weather around here. See, I had a row of days where my eyeballs were just in total pain, because I was biking with cold eyes blowing on them. It got real old. So I order a pair of Tifosi Pave sunglasses. They’ve got three lenses — a neutral density “smoke” lens, a orange-red lens, and a clear lens — and it’s not that hard to change them out once you get the swing of it. And then the weather suddenly got warm and dry, almost summery, as soon as they showed up.

Anyway, it’s raining again and they seem to work just fine, letting enough air through that the lenses don’t fog up but still blocking most of the wind.

I’m trying experimenting with commuter attire. See, the goal is to show up at work in an outfit that looks perfectly professional and is comfortable without changing and to look like a normal person otherwise. During the summertime, plain old knit polo shirts work quite well. They are just as comfortable as a t-shirt but look more professional. But during the winter, it’s nice to wear a less expensive undershirt with a more expensive shirt over it, as fashionable long-sleeved shirts that I look good in aren’t cheap, so I want them to last. Without smelling, of course.

I’ve been experimenting with the fancy artificial-fiber stuff for undershirts. Seems to work fairly well. I also purchased a balaclava for the bad weather and I found it helped a lot.
